Why a site for one attraction

We have run this evening for years as one product line among many. The problem with that is space. On a general tour listing there is no room to explain that firefly density depends on the moon, that blue tears come and go with a plankton bloom, or that Kuala Selangor has two firefly rivers that suit different people. So it gets compressed into small print, and small print is not read.

Here, the honest version comes first. We publish the conditions that affect what you will see before the booking widget, not after it, and we describe both rivers fairly, including the one our shared tour does not use.

What we actually control

We own the vehicle. The driver-guide is on our payroll. The dinner and the boat are booked by us. When a booking changes on the night, the person sorting it out works here. That is the entire case for booking direct rather than through a listing site, and it is a better one than any discount.

What we do not control is the river. No operator can promise fireflies or blue tears on a given date, and we would rather lose a booking than make that promise.
