1. Who we are

Kuala Selangor Firefly Tours is a trading brand of Exotic Asia Holidays Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd (company registration 898289M), a Malaysian tour operator licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture under licence KPL/LN/6245. Our registered address is 10-1-1 Queens Avenue, Jalan Bayam, 55100 Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that company.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly when you enquire or book:

  • Your name and contact details, including email address and phone or WhatsApp number
  • Your travel details: dates, hotel or pickup location, number of travellers and ages where child pricing applies
  • The content of messages you send us by form, WhatsApp, email or phone
  • Booking and payment records created when you check out

Payment card details are handled by our booking provider and their payment processors. We do not store full card numbers on this website.

We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the site that referred you, through standard web server logs and any analytics tools in use.

3. How we use your information

  • To answer your enquiry and give you accurate advice on dates, conditions and pickup
  • To confirm, operate and support your booking, including sending your driver's contact details before the tour
  • To process payments and issue vouchers or receipts
  • To meet our legal, licensing and tax obligations as a licensed Malaysian tour operator
  • To improve this website and the information we publish
  • To send you occasional updates, only where you have asked for them

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is needed:

  • Our booking platform and payment processors, to take and manage your booking
  • The driver-guide assigned to your tour, so they can find you at pickup
  • Boat operators and restaurants where a headcount or a name is required to hold your places
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountants, under confidentiality
  • Authorities, where we are required to disclose information by law

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 24 months. Booking and accounting records are kept for as long as Malaysian tax and company law requires, currently seven years, and then deleted or anonymised.

6. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. This site is served over HTTPS. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Under the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep
  • Withdraw consent to marketing at any time
  • Limit how we process your information in certain circumstances

8. Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences and understand how pages are used. Our booking widget sets its own cookies in order to hold your selection through checkout. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the booking flow may then not work.

This site links to other websites, including our sister site mytravellane.com and our booking provider. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not operate.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
